Our Strategies
Long Only Equity Strategies
Driven by a common investment philosophy and risk-first fundamental research process, our long-only equity strategies primarily focus on the U.S. small- and mid-capitalization universe – where the team has decades of experience investing capital in high-quality businesses and navigating changing market environments.
We believe small-and mid-cap businesses are uniquely positioned in a stage of the company lifecycle for potential rapid growth. The inefficiencies among small- and mid-cap stocks are highlighted by the stark differences in performance between the top and bottom quintile of stocks in the indices. Due to the wide dispersion of these returns, we believe strong fundamental research and security selection, along with disciplined portfolio construction and a longer-term investment horizon, offer the best possibility of multi-year growth opportunities for investors.
Our Small Cap Growth strategy is managed by seasoned investors who have collaborated with one another co-managing small and mid-cap growth portfolios – adhering to the same investment risk-first philosophy and research-driven process – for a combined three decades and through multiple market cycles.
The strategy seeks long-term growth of capital primarily through investments in U.S. small-capitalization growth companies. The portfolio managers utilize fundamental research to identify high-quality companies with differentiated business models, strong competitive advantages, and large barriers to entry, while adhering to a time-tested, disciplined portfolio construction process that emphasizes downside protection.
